Dentures, or false teeth, are removable replacements for missing teeth and the tissues surrounding your teeth. There are two types of dentures that are available, complete dentures and partial dentures. When all of the teeth are missing complete dentures are used and when there are remaining natural teeth partial dentures are used. Contact an Canyon Dental & Hair Transplant Studio dental professional today to see if dentures or partial dentures could be the answer to a happier smile.

Complete dentures can be either conventional or immediate.

Immediate dentures are made in advance of tooth removal and can be put in place immediately following the removal of teeth. When using immediate dentures you do not have to be without teeth for a period of time. During the healing process following tooth removal, your bones and gums will shrink. Therefore immediate dentures will require adjustments to make your dentures fit properly.

Conventional dentures will not need adjustments as frequently as immediate dentures. But conventional dentures cannot be measured for, until the gum tissue has healed following tooth removal. Immediate dentures may be used temporarily until conventional dentures can be made to work for you.

Dentures may not be an option for everyone. Consult with your Canyon Dental & Hair Transplant Studio dentist today and find out if dentures are right for you, and if so what type of dentures would work best for your teeth. We have many appointment options available at our office in Canyon.
